Entry Guidelines

  • Every year, the Seoul International Drama Awards honors outstanding dramas from around the world.
    We look forward to discovering high-quality drama productions across borders and welcoming industry experts to Seoul.

Eligibility
  • A. Eligible Entries
    Works first broadcast, transmitted, or made available to the public between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026, regardless of country/region or distribution platform (including terrestrial TV, cable TV, satellite TV, OTT, and digital platforms).

    ※ Eligible entries are limited to scripted live-action works.

  • B. Ineligible Entries
    Non-fiction works, including documentaries and reality programs.
    Works produced or distributed primarily for theatrical release or film festival submission.
    Works classified as Film/Movie on OTT platforms or in distribution/release classification.
    Dramatized works or branded content produced primarily for advertising, brand promotion, campaigns, or other promotional purposes.
  • C. Eligibility of Entrants
    Entries may be submitted only by a company or legal entity that holds the copyright to the work, or by a person/entity authorized to submit the work by agreement among the relevant copyright holders.
  • D. Notes
    Entries deemed likely to cause conflict among countries, races, or ethnic groups may be excluded from judging and voting.
    Eligibility shall be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee (SDAOC).
    In the case of a joint production, the entrant must inform the production partner companies in advance
    If a program is submitted by multiple entrants, the copyright holders must determine which submission is valid and notify SDAOC.
    The entrant shall bear full responsibility for any copyright-related issues.

    Awards
    TV Movie A drama consisting of one (1) to three (3) episodes in which the story is concluded within the submitted work.
    Miniseries A drama consisting of four (4) to sixteen (16) episodes, featuring a continuous storyline and recurring main characters under a single title.
    Series A drama consisting of seventeen (17) or more episodes, featuring a continuous storyline and recurring main characters under a single title.
    Short Form A drama primarily produced for distribution on digital platforms, with a runtime of no more than 20 minutes per episode.
    ※ There is no limit on the number of episodes.

    Director For entries submitted to the Program Awards categories, the director, screenwriter, actor, and actress listed in the entry form will automatically be considered for the Individual Awards categories.

  • ※ In the case of omnibus or anthology series in which each episode has a different story, theme, and set of characters, each episode may be recognized as a separate entry.
  • ※ For seasonal dramas, each season whose first airdate falls within the eligibility period from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 must be submitted as a separate entry.
  • ※ Classification as TV Movie, Miniseries, or Series is determined solely by the total number of episodes in a single entry, regardless of genre, number of seasons, platform, or other factors.
  • ※ Duplicate submissions across Program Award categories are not permitted.

Series
※ English subtitles are required for all submitted videos. Entries without English subtitles may be disqualified during preliminary screening.
※ For English-language dramas, English subtitles may be omitted. However, English subtitles are required if major dialogue or on-screen text includes any language other than English.


2) Video Formats
① File name: Title_Country_Episode number (e.g., SDA_South Korea_1)
② Video codec : H.264
③ Audio codec : AAC
④ File formats: MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, or any other format that can be played on standard video players.
⑤ Resolution: 1280 × 720 (HD, 16:9)


3) Video Submission (Choose one of the following: ①, ②, or ③)
① Upload the videos to Google Drive and share them with the Seoul International Drama Awards Google account (seouldramaawards@gmail.com)
② Share download link : WeTransfer, Vimeo, Aspera, etc.
- The link must allow video download and must not be streaming-only
- The download link must remain active until at least June 15, 2026 (KST).
- For submissions via downloadable link, entrants must send the link by email to the regional contact person in charge. Submission will be considered complete only after a confirmation reply is received.
③ Save the video files on a USB flash drive and ship it to SDAOC by post
- Only materials that arrive at SDAOC before the entry deadline will be judged

Entry Deadline
May 27, 2026, 15:00 (KST)
SDAOC reserves the right to accept or reject any request for an extension of the submission period. If accepted, SDAOC will set a new deadline and notify the entrants.
Notification
  • A. No entrance fee is required for all categories.
  • B. There is no limit to the number of submissions according to each category.
  • C. SDAOC is not obliged to return any submitted materials. The materials may be used for promotional purpose related to the awards ceremony.
  • D. SDAOC has the rights to request additional materials, in case of insufficient information or technical errors.
  • E. The entrant is expected to fully cooperate to ensure that winners can attend the awards ceremony.
Announcement
  • A. Nominees The Organizing Committee will announce the nominees on the website and notify the entrants individually after preliminary selection.
  • B. Winners The winners will be announced at the live-telecast Awards Ceremony in October 2026 in Seoul.
